The Kickingbird District, Last Frontier Council, and the Boy Scouts of America invite local area Eagle Scouts to an Eagle Scout Alumni exclusive Day at Camp being held Saturday, Oct. 7.
OLD GREER COUNTY MUSEUM AND HALL OF FAME is having a celebration on September 23. There is lots going on all day. Western Heritage will be cooking and you can eat in the dugout out back of the museum. Tintype pictures will be offered, buggy rides, games, tours of the museum. Lots of things are happening so come out and enjoy the festivities.
OKLAHOMA CITY — The Emergency Drought Commission met Tuesday and voted to release all remaining funding allocated to the current Emergency Drought Cost-Share Program. The state Legislature appropriated $17 million to the Emergency Drought Relief Fund in May.

One was for a male and one was for a female to be placed on the bed of the resident when someone has passed away in hopes of bringing some peace to family members as they come to remove their loved ones belongings..
Back in 1847, Frederick Scott Archer invented the wet plate collodion photography process. This was made popular during the Civil War. Until then, preserving memories in pictures was almost impossible. Special chemicals are mixed and then poured onto a metal or glass plate, dipped into a silver bath and then exposed in the camera. That plate is then developed and fixed while still wet.
Come to the Old Greer County Museum and Hall of Fame this Saturday for their 50th Anniversary Celebration. There will be games, crafts, kid train rides and more. The event will be held from 9 AM to 5 PM at the museum, 222 W. Jefferson in Mangum.
