Anyone that wishes to donate hay to those affected by the recent wildfires can drop hay off at the Greer County Fairgrounds. Drop site is on the west side of the property. The hay will be collected at this site and transported to the affected locations as needed through coordination of those involved.

“Ultimately, this is the citizens money and we need to be able to justify that.” - Dixie Peterson, City Commissioner The renewal for another year of the interlocal agreement for the operation of emergency medical services between the City of Mangum, Mangum Utility Authority, and the Greer County Special Ambulance District was approved at the regular meeting of the Mangum City Commission on Tuesday with the stipulation that the service start providing financial accountability of the $12 per month funds that are being collected by the City on behalf of the ambulance service. Commissioner Dixie Peterson stated, “I would like to see a full financial breakdown every 90 days.

The Lighthouse Church in Mangum will be hosting a benefit dinner for Brad and Jessica Wetsel on Sunday, March 10 from 11 AM to 1 PM. Proceeds will go to help them with travel and living expenses while they are at the Mayo Clinic where Jessica will be getting testing to determine what may be causing her symptoms.
