Charles Randall “Chuck” Hays, longtime resident of Willow passed away from this life on October 17, 2023, at the age of 86. Chuck was born on September 24, 1937, in Victory, OK to James “Jim” Hays and Bessie (Smalling) Hays. The Hays family moved to Willow in 1942. Chuck attended and graduated from Ocina in 1955. After graduation, he then served our country in the National Guard. After the Guard, he continued his education at the college in Sayre, OK. Chuck married Anita Kerbo in 1964 and moved to California. From this union they had son Brett Hays. Then in 1971 moved back to Willow, OK where he worked for the next 51 years at Hays Welding and Blacksmith. Chuck married Margie Lewellen on June 1, 1979. With this union Margie brought Stephanie and Bryan. He is survived by son Brett Hays and wife Amy of Mangum, Stephanie Ormand and husband L.D. also of Mangum. Bryan Hays of Wheatland, Wyoming, sister Nancy Greer and husband Butch of Mangum. Chuck leaves a legacy of grandchildren, Alyson Hays, Trevor Ormand, Andrew Ormand, Shelby Yates, and Kelby

Hays, and a number of great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Jim and Bessie Hays, wife Margie Hays, sister Martha Sullins, great nephews Chad and Stuart Sullins, and brother John Hays.

Graveside memorial services for Chuck were held Saturday, October 28, 2023, 1:30 P.M., at Willow Cemetery with a meet and greet followed services at the Willow Community Center.
