Applications being accepted for renewable energy system grants

STILLWATER, OKLA., Sept. 29, 2023 – U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development Oklahoma State Director Kenneth Corn has announced that USDA is now accepting applications for grants to help agricultural producers and rural small businesses invest in renewable energy systems and make energy-efficiency improvements. USDA has made available $1 billion in grants under the Rural Energy for America Program (REAP), with funding from President Biden’s landmark Inflation Reduction Act, which has made historic levels of investment available to Oklahoma and is recognized as the best way to grow the economy from the middle out and bottom up.

Free workshop to focus on environmental law enforcement

STILLWATER, Okla. – Illegal roadside dumps continue to adversely affect the back roads of Oklahoma. To help combat this issue, Oklahoma State University Extension is partnering with the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality and the U.S. Department of Agriculture-Rural Development to host an Oklahoma Environmental Law Enforcement Training Seminar in Oklahoma City.
