Mrs. Lanning's K+ Class would like to say a heartfelt thank you to Pam Simmons and Wichita Insurance and American Farmers and Ranchers for giving the gift of literacy. Pam and her Insurance Company have thoughtfully adopted the K+ Class to help promote a love of reading. They will be purchasing a book each month for the students to keep and start their own library at their homes. The students were so excited to receive their first book, "Wimberly Worried". This is a wonderful and valuable partnership. Mrs. Lanning and her K+ class are very grateful for Mrs. Simmons and Wichita Insurance.

Mrs. Lanning's K+ Class had the privilege of taking a tour, with Ron Gay, through the Mangum Brick Plant on Thursday, April 21. The class had completed a unit over homes around the world. They learned all about the different ways homes are built all over the world. They were excited to see the process of how the bricks are made. Mr. Gay finished the tour by giving each student their very own Mangum Brick lunch box, color changing pencil, and keychain. Mrs. Lanning's class would like to say a big thank you to Mr. Gay and Mangum Brick for allowing them to come, take a tour, and for the amazing gifts.

Mrs. Lanning's K+ class got the opportunity to visit the O.S.U. Extension Office for a fun Easter School Enrichment program. The class wore their "My Plate" aprons (from a previous enrichment class). They created KID snacks and played Bunny Bingo!

Johnson and James selected as Homecoming Royalty

The 2022 MHS Basketball Homecoming ceremony was held on Tuesday, February 8, after the games against Sayre. The ceremony was postponed from Friday, February 4, because of the winter weather. After the seniors met eligibility requirements, the teams selected the candidates, and the student body voted on the royalty earlier that day. more
