Tigers, Bearcats rivalry game sees Mangum on top 34-19

This past weekend were two important rivalry games. Of course, the Oklahoma-Texas game was on Saturday and the Sooners made up for the 49-0 thrashing they took last year. It came down to “Sooner Magic” with Gabrial hitting Anderson in the back of the end zone with seconds remaining in the game as the Sooners won 34-30.

Tigers struggle through first two district games

After breezing through the first four games of the season the Tigers have struggled through the first two district games, losing a tough contest to Apache then going on the road where they had a defensive game against Walters. If you like good defense, then you would have loved last Friday night’s game between these two foes. They were well matched up with the game going down to the final minute before being settled.

Mangum Lady Tigers in first Super Regionals

A professional basketball team is calling Elk City home

Minor-league basketball players will make a major impression when the American Basketball Association season tips off here in November. The Western Oklahoma Bulls, one of the ABA’s newest teams, will play home games at Elk City’s Arrowhead Center.

Tigers lose first game of the season 28-49

We knew it would be a tough game last week when the Tigers hosted Apache at the Liberty Bowl in the district opener. Apache is tough and some people feel they will win the district championship. Mangum is now 0-1 in district play but there are still a lot of games to play and with a little help the Tigers could still end up on top.
