Longtime Mangum resident and businessman R.L. Patton turned 100 years old on Monday, and family and friends threw a birthday bash for him at the Outside Inn over the weekend. “I knew there was going to be a gettogether,” said Patton, “but I didn’t expect so many people to show up to wish me a happy birthday. It was great time and I appreciate everyone that showed up for my ‘half way to 200 birthday party.” Patton was born on his father’s birthday 100 years ago on Sept. 11, 1923.

Come out on Saturday, Sept. 30 and enjoy mud games, burnouts and a car cruise being held to benefit the Mangum Police and Fire Departments.
